BASIC JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM CLASSES & EVENTS

Level 1 - New Golfer - Beginner
In the Blue level classes, participants develop basic golf fundamentals such as grip, aim, stance, posture, basic swing motion, and the most basic short game skills – chipping and putting. 
Golf Knowledge: Basic Etiquette & Safety, Basic Rules, Equipment and the Qualities of a True Champion - Respect for the Course.

 

Level 2  -  Advanced Beginner
In the Gold level classes, participants begin to refine their golf fundamentals in the full swing, with tempo & swing plane being introduced.  They also learn how to use all types of clubs and begin to develop more distance & accuracy.  Pitching and Bunker Play are introduced in the short game and more focus and emphasis is now put on developing distance control in basic chipping and putting. 
Golf Knowledge: Intermediate Etiquette, Intermediate Rules,  Intermediate Equipment and the Qualities of a True Champion - Respect for Others.

 

Level 3 - Intermediate 
In the Red Level classes, participants continue to develop and refine their full swing fundamentals and shot control.  Participants will develop a playing routine for all the types of short game shots and develop consistent control with all the shots. 
Golf Knowledge: Advanced Etiquette, Advanced Rules, Advanced Equipment Knowledge and the Qualities of a True Champion - Respect for Yourself.

 
ACADEMY CHALLENGE CLASS
Once per month, during regularly scheduled class time, the entire hour class will be dedicated to what we call an Academy Challenge.  This type of class is the main component to moving up in rank in our program.  During the class, each participant will do all the skill tests in their respective learning booklet.  In each Academy Challenge, tests will be administered in the following areas: Full Swing, Around the Green, Putting, and Golf Knowlege.  If the participant scores well enough then they will earn a pin for each topic.   Once all pins are earned, the participant will move up to the next level.  (Scoring Pin must be earned at Play Days or at other on course opportunities.)
 

Level Requirements: To pass each level, participants must earn their achievement pins in the following 5 areas: Putting, Around the Green, Full Swing, Golf Knowledge, and Scoring.  Details for each are in your Learning Booklet.

Level 1 - Blue
Putting Forms & Skills
Around the Green Forms & Skills (Chipping)
Full Swing Forms & Skills
Golf Knowlege (Rules, Etiquette, Equipment, Sportsmanship)
Scoring - Must shoot 72 or less for 9 holes on a 1500 yard course (Sinaloa is OK)

Level 2 - Gold
Putting Forms & Skills
Around the Green Forms & Skills (Chipping, Pitching & Sand)
Full Swing Forms & Skills
Golf Knowlege (Rules, Etiquette, Equipment, Sportsmanship)
Scoring - Must shoot 63 or less for 9 holes on a 1500 yard course (Sinaloa is OK)

Level 3 - Red
Putting Forms & Skills
Around the Green Forms & Skills (Chipping, Pitching & Sand)
Full Swing Forms & Skills
Golf Knowlege (Rules, Etiquette, Equipment, Sportsmanship)
Scoring - Must shoot 54 or less for 9 holes on a 1500 yard course (Sinaloa is OK)
